Teacher Trainings for Continuing Education

Early childhood education professionals have a lot of training requirements to keep up with! MN Child Care Health Consultants offers several services to support child care staff including staff trainings. We offer the following staff trainings with this in mind. Each 2-hour training is provided on-site at your location. Sarah is a certified Content Expert through the Minnesota Center for Professional Development and all of the trainings we offer are approved for continuing education.

Preventing & Responding to Allergic Reactions & Medication Administration for Childe Care Staff

Explore food allergies including how to prevent and manage allergic reactions. Examine how to identify and treat an allergic reaction with medications. Develop an understanding of safe medication administration and learn how to follow state requirements and provide a safe environment. Gain experience practicing with an Epinephrine auto-injector trainer device. New Changes from the 2017 Legislative Session require licensed child care centers to have a policy for preventing and responding to allergic reactions and ensure all staff are trained on this policy during orientation and at least once per calendar year. This class covers this information!
