CPR and First Aid Training is now required by DHS Rule 2 and 3 for licensed child care providers every two years! (The old requirement was every three years). An AED, or Automated External Defibrillator, is a portable electronic device that automatically detects disturbances in the rhythm of a heartbeat and is able to treat an individual through defibrillation, the application of electrical therapy, allowing the heart to re-establish an effective rhythm.
