Online Class Descriptions

Pediatric First Aid Online Training – $16 per person

This Pediatric First Aid class meets the MN Department of Human Services Child Care Licensing Pediatric First Aid training requirements for childcare staff in Minnesota. This online class is easy and convenient! It teaches students how to respond and manage injuries and illnesses in an infant or child until professional help arrives. This class can be completed in one hour and you will be able to print a Pediatric First Aid training certificate to fulfill the MN Department of Human Services Child Care Licensing Pediatric First Aid training requirement!

Pediatric CPR Online Training (including Infant and Child CPR) – $50 per person

(Price includes the required in person CPR skills assessment)

This class includes online Pediatric Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course content including passing the corresponding cognitive evaluation. This CPR training includes Pediatric CPR techniques for infants and children as well as adults and was developed using nationally recognized, evidence-based guidelines for Pediatric CPR following Pediatric CPR National standards of the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics by Sarah Hawley RN, BSN, PHN who is an approved American Heart Association Pediatric CPR instructor. This online training covered instruction on Pediatric CPR techniques for infants and children as well as adults and the treatment of obstructed airways. You will be issued a certificate at the end of the online training. The certificate is not valid without the official MNCCHC stamp indicating the official date of completion of the hands-on practice, and in-person, observed skills assessment under the direct supervision of a MNCCHC CPR instructor. This Pediatric CPR training certificate is good for two years from the issue date. At that time, please contact MNCCHC to take this class again.

Combination Pediatric First Aid and CPR Online Training (including Infant and Child CPR) – $65 per person

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SUID)-Abusive Head Trauma (AHT) – Mandated Reporting Online Training – $8.00 per person (Two classes in one!)

This 1 ½ hour class meets the Child Care Center (Rule 3) Minnesota Department of Human Services Licensing training requirements for Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID), Abusive Head Trauma (AHT), and Mandated Reporting. (Please DO NOT take this course if you are from family childcare/Rule 2- this is not the class you need). The content includes recommendations to reduce Sudden, Unexpected Infant Deaths (SUID) including SIDS, suffocation, and other sleep related infant deaths; safe sleep environments; MN Child Care regulations related to safe sleep; as well as symptoms and consequences of abusive head trauma, risk factors for abusive head trauma; strategies to use when stressed, angry or frustrated as well as mandated reporting requirements.  (This class is the same as the AHT-Mandated Reporting class with the addition of SUID)

Abusive Head Trauma (AHT) and Mandated Reporting Online Training – $6.00 per person

This one-hour class meets the Child Care Center (Rule 3) Minnesota Department of Human Services Licensing training requirements for Abusive Head Trauma (AHT), and Mandated Reporting. (Please DO NOT take this course if you are from family childcare/Rule 2- this is not the class you need). The content includes symptoms and consequences of abusive head trauma, risk factors for abusive head trauma; strategies to use when stressed, angry or frustrated as well as mandated reporting requirements.  (All sections of this class are included in the SUID class, therefore you do not need to take both)

Allergy 101: Preventing and Responding to Allergic Reactions and Medication Administration Online Training – $8.00 per person (Two classes in one!)

In this one hour training you will learn about food allergies including how to prevent, manage and respond to allergic reactions and cover Allergy Prevention and Response Training on MN Statutes, section 245A.41, subd. 1 This class also includes our Medication Administration class. Upon completion of this class a certificate of completion will be issued.

 Handling and Disposing of Bodily Fluids Online Training – $8.00 per person

This one-hour online training covers how state and federal OSHA guidelines including bloodborne pathogens and the handling and disposal of bodily fluids apply to childcare staff. Explore modes of transmission and identify how to help prevent and protect staff and understand the importance of an Exposure Control Plan. This training meets Minnesota Department of Human Services Handling & Disposal of Bodily Fluids training requirements.
